Wishing everyone a very Happy 4th Of July!!!
Heat-Revisited to be released on July 10, 2013
We just added four songs into our rotation from Tom Saviano’s Heat Revisited CD which will be available in Japan on July 10, 2013 and can be purchased on-line. The four songs are added are “Pickin And Choosin”, “This Love That We’ve Found”, “Up To You”, and “Whatever It Is”.
Tom Saviano’s epic retrospective project covering his classic R&B/Jazz band HEAT (with outstanding vocalists Jean Marie Arnold, Joe Pizzulo & Ed Whiting) titled “Revisited” drops on 7/10/13. It features 11 tracks from the self-titled debut HEAT album in 1980 and STILL WAITING in ’81. Plus, there are five previously unheard bonus HEAT songs originally recorded during the same period.
This disc is really special. Not only is it a full platter of music (over 79 minutes in length), but Tom Saviano invested his sweat equity into revitalizing these songs through meticulous additional session work and detailed production that give the tracks more fidelity and impact than ever before. “HEAT – Revisited” is his complete vision. The tracks have been extended to have more of a live feel that allow the musicians to stretch out. The performances are extraordinary all around. Contributing talent includes Bill & Tamara Champlin, Michael O’Neill, Bruce Gaitsch, Neil Stubenhaus, Vinnie Colaiuta, Nathan East, Paul Jackson Jr, Carmen Grillo and many more.
Anyone who has a passion for this classic era groove seriously needs to lay it down and secure their copy of this limited edition, SHM (Super High Material) CD.

We just added two songs from Tony Adamo’s new CD Miles Of Blu to our Playlist. The songs added are Soul Vaccination and Ticking Clock.
For more on Tony you can find him at Strokeland Records here is the link to Miles Of Blu: http://www.strokeland.com/strokelandjazz/tonyadamo/MilesOfBlu/MilesOfBlu.htm
Here is a bit about the CD:
On his latest effort, and debut recording for Random Act Records, TONY ADAMO has created a unique genre—”HipSpokenWord”. Built on the wisdom of musical wizards like Gil-Scott Heron, Mark Murphy, Jack Kerouac and hip/hop master rappers, Tony speaks the Truth through his poetic musings.
With preeminent players like producer Mike Clark (drums), Richie Goods (bass), Delbert Bump (organ), Michael Wolff (piano), Bill Summers (percussion) and Tim Ouimette, Rob Dixon, Derek Gardner and Stephen “Doc” Kupka in the horn section, Tony speaks/sings his way through the urban landscapes of Jazz, Funk and Soul.
From the title track “Miles of Blu,” a nod to the dark prince of Jazz, to “JB,” an homage to the Godfather of Soul, to a down-home “BBQ” and asking “America R We Free,” Tony tells it like it is in his own mesmerizing manner. The Grooves are infectious, the moods evocative, the music sizzling and the words – HIP!
“MILES OF BLU” takes listeners on a swinging journey, culminating in a funky good time
