Six new songs added to yesterday’s playlist update

Also added to the playlist, are three songs from the classic Horn Rock Band “Mom’s Apple Pie”. The three songs added are Lay Your Money Down, Love Plays A Song, and Rockin’ To The Music.
Here’s more on Mom’s Apple Pie. Mom’s Apple Pie is an American ten-member horn rock band from Warren, Ohio. They were best known for the X-rated artwork on their first album cover that received more media attention than their music.
Music publications like “Rolling Stone” gave more copy to the cover than the music and consequently, record sales suffered. But even with the bad publicity, the band garnered national recognition and played to sold-out crowds with popular groups like the Doobie Brothers and rock star, David Bowie, in cities from New York to LA. “Mom’s” musical range, horns and overall sound have been compared to such bands as Chicago and Blood, Sweat and Tears.
“The Pie’s” music, when actually reviewed by critics often spoke of their massive brass-arrangements along with organ, guitar, and overall solid musicianship. Dave Mazzochi, band leader on Hammond B3 and vocals, composed and wrote a number of the band’s more popular tunes like ‘Lay Your Money Down” and “Dawn of a New Day.” Bob Fiorino was the recognizable voice of the band, lead singer and composer of many songs to include, “Secret of Life.”
